Terms of service

Last updated 12 September 2026

1. Who we are and what this is

FL Bar Monitor is an independent service operated by Felican.AI that monitors publicly available Florida Bar membership records and reports changes to them. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Florida Bar.

This service is a public-records monitoring tool. It is not a lawyer referral service, and nothing on this site is a recommendation, endorsement, rating, or assessment of any attorney's competence or fitness.

2. Accuracy and no reliance for legal decisions

We report what the public record said at the time we read it, with the date we read it. Records can be wrong, stale, or ambiguous at the source, and our normalisation can misinterpret an unusual record. Every fact here links to the Bar's canonical page.

Verify anything material against The Florida Bar directly before acting on it. Nothing here is legal advice and no attorney–client relationship is created by using it.

3. Accounts

You need an account to watch records. Sign-in uses an email magic link or Google; we do not store a password. You are responsible for the security of your email account. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

4. Pricing, billing and cancellation

  • Your first watched attorney or firm is free and does not expire.
  • Each additional watch is $1.00 per month, billed through Stripe as a single monthly subscription whose quantity equals your number of active watches.
  • Adding or removing a watch mid-cycle is prorated: additions are charged for the remainder of the period on your next invoice, removals are credited to it.
  • If a payment fails you enter a seven-day grace period. Monitoring continues and nothing is deleted. If it is still unpaid at the end of grace, your account returns to the free plan: your earliest watch stays active and the rest are paused (not deleted) and can be reactivated in one click once payment succeeds.
  • Cancel any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; we do not refund partial months.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape, bulk-download, or systematically harvest this site. Rate limits apply and there is no bulk export — the same courtesy we extend to our own sources.
  • Do not use anything here to harass, threaten, or contact an attorney or their household for a purpose unrelated to their professional practice.
  • Do not represent our data as coming from The Florida Bar.
  • Do not resell, sublicense or redistribute the data. Reasonable citation with attribution and a link is welcome.

6. Notifications

Digest emails are transactional: they are the service you subscribed to, and you control their cadence, channels and severity threshold in your notification settings. SMS, where enabled, requires separate express consent and always honours STOP. Marketing email, if we ever send any, requires a separate opt-in.

7. Availability

We aim for a daily check of every record, but we do not guarantee that any particular change will be detected, detected on a particular day, or delivered successfully. If a crawl is incomplete or looks anomalous we deliberately withhold it rather than send a report we do not trust. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of your use of the service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including any decision made or not made in reliance on the service.

9. Corrections and removals

See corrections and removals. We will correct errors quickly and will suppress optional contact fields on request. We will not delist a public licensure status, because doing so would defeat the public-interest purpose of the service.

10. Changes to these terms

We will post any change here and update the date above. Material changes affecting price or your data will be emailed to account holders before they take effect.
